Sir Paul McCartney has confirmed details of two huge gigs at Citi Field, the new home of the New York Mets baseball team.
The concerts will take place at the new stadium in Queens on July 17 and 18.
In a statement, Sir Paul said he was “really excited” about opening the new venue.
“The Beatles were the first to play at Shea Stadium and along with Billy Joel, I was the last to sing at the old Shea,” he said.
“So to be the first to play this stadium is incredible. I am really looking forward to a buzzing show.”
Sir Paul's last appearance in America came at the Coachella music festival in April.
Tickets go on sale on June 15 at 10am. For more information, check out the Gigwise Gig Guide.
