An insurance advert featuring Iggy Pop has been deemed as misleading by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA).
The advertising watchdog ruled that the Swiftcover TV commercial suggested the singer had a policy with the company.
However, at the time, Swiftcover did not offer insurance to musicians.
Twelve viewers complained about the advert, which features a bare-chested Pop boasting about his insurance policy.
The ASA ruling means that the advert must be changed before it can be shown again.
Swiftcover said Pop, who has never been covered by the company, had been chosen to front the commercial because he has a reputation for fast living.
The company has since begun offering insurance to musicians.
