Metallica's drummer Lars Ulrich has revealed there was a time when the band were asked to sleep with fans' girlfriends.
The drummer said he first received the request when the band were supporting Ozzy Osbourne in the mid-1980s.
But Ulrich didn't specify whether any band members accepted any of the offers.
"In the early days in America back in the mid-'80s, people would often ask us to **** their girlfriend," Ulrich told Uncut.
"The first time it happened to me, we were opening for Ozzy [Osbourne] in 1986 and I was slightly taken aback.
“But you realise people were serious and you say to yourself, 'So now I'm ****ing your girlfriend, are you round the corner, whacking off? Are You taking pictures? Where do you fit into all this?'
He added: "It's pretty depraved shit, and it's hard to wrap your head around that when you're ****ing someone else's girl.
"It's not a good thing to ask a band to do, right?"
Metallica are currently touring in support of their latest album 'Death Magnetic'.
