Charles: “We asked the taxi driver to take us to beer land. There's a bar called Beerland!!! Only in America. We saw The Mae Shi play quite a few times while we were in Austin, this was by far the best. We are both huge fans of this band and I think this photo is the closest of any of our photos of their gigs to try and demonstrate to anyone who hasn’t seen them before what sort of things happen at their shows. They are band that stand out as a live band more than anything. Parachutes, light sensitive theramins, and that feeling on up the back of your neck are the bare essentials of a Mae Shi show.”
