Charles: “This was the second show we played in Austin. The venue was called the 1808. It was a Moshi Moshi records night but the day show was running late and so we saw this band. Real Estate from New Jersey. I think maybe the whole scene of being in a backyard in the getto part of town while the sun was going down had made this extra special. We both went to see them again a few days later and they were just as good. It is possible that they had my dream guitar sound. Right on maaan.”
