Metallica and Linkin Park are set to play huge headline shows at the UK leg of the inaugural Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth this August.
Linkin Park will headline the opening night of the two date event on August 1, while Metallica will do the honours the following night.

Sonisphere is a global rock touring festival and is the brainchild of the creators of the Monsters of Rock and the Download festivals.
Metallica will also be headlining shows in Holland, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Finland where acts including Slipknot, Die Toten Hosen and Linkin Park will be playing of divergent shows.
