Duffy Unveiled As Face Of New Fizzy Drink Campaign

Duffy is to front Diet Coke's new European advertising campaign, it's been announced.

The Welsh singer will appear in TV adverts alongside other “strong, sassy young women who are celebrating their right to stand up to the pressures of modern day life”, the company said.

Duffy, who is following in the footsteps of actress Kim Basinger, is reported to have signed a six-figure deal with the company.

“I drink so much of the stuff, they were either going to give me shares in the company or put me in the advert,” she said.

The campaign will mark the singer's first appearance in a television advert.

Duffy has sold 4.5million copies of her debut album, 'Rockferry', since its release last spring.
