Britney Spears Confirms House Move On Twitter

Britney Spears has confirmed that she is in the process of relocating to a new home in California.

The property, reported to be worth $10.5million, is situated in Calabasas, 25 miles north of Los Angeles.

Writing on the micro-blogging website, Twitter, Spears said: "I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can't wait to move in."

US tabloid reports on Monday (January 12th) claimed the singer was leaving her current home in the Hollywood Hills to escape the paparazzi.

The Los Angeles house was also the scene of her public meltdown last February, which cost her the custody of her two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Spears first viewed her new property in Calabasas, which includes a movie theatre, swimming pool and large courtyard, last year.

At a court hearing in June she stated her intention to find a new home that was in "a lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighbourhood"
