Amy Winehouse has acknowledged her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's request for a divorce.
"Papers have been received and the matter is with Amy's lawyers,” a spokesman for the singer said.
Fielder-Civil announced yesterday (January 12th) that he was seeking divorce on the grounds of Winehouse's alleged infidelity.
The couple married in Miami in May 2007 but have faced a constant string of personal problems, including Winehouse’s drug addiction.
Fielder-Civil is currently serving a 27-month prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a pub landlord and perverting the course of justice.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Winehouse is currently on holiday in the Caribbean, where she has been linked to a 21-year old actor.
