U2's Bono Admits He Is Bored Of Himself

U2 frontman Bono has revealed that he adopted a new approach to writing on the band's new album because he had grown “bored” of himself.

All of the songs on 'No Line On The Horizon' were written through fictional characters, including a war correspondent in 'Cedars of Lebanon'.

"I'm bored of Bono and I am him - I'm sick of me,” Bono told Q magazine. “I felt it was a little limiting to be in the first person.”

U2 are due to release their new album on March 2nd.

As previously reported on Gigwise, the band are currently working on a musical adaptation of Spiderman.

The production is expected to debut on the Broadway stage before the end of the year, guitarist The Edge said.
