This year's Download festival is to feature a number of on-site improvements following suggestions from fans, organiser Live Nation has said.
The changes include reduced distances between stages and better toilet facilities. There will also be a disabled camping area.
The improvements have been made from direct feedback on fan forums.
Andy Copping, Vice-president of music at Live Nation, said he now expected the system to be adopted by other festivals.
"Our festival partners have looked at how we've adapted and moved forward with Download and now want to use those same systems and set up forums specific to each festival,” he told the BBC.
Live Nation is also responsible for the Wireless festival in London and the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
The 2009 Download Festival will take place from June 12th-14th at Donnington Park.
At present, no bands have been confirmed for the festival, which last year featured headlining performances from KISS, The Offspring and Lostprophets.
