Little Boots - Another female artist leading the 2009 electro-pop onslaught is the delectable Little Boots. Hailing from sunny Blackpool, Ms Boots - real name Victoria Hesketh - is formerly of the band Dead Disco and even auditioned for reality show Pop Idol in 2001. Fortunately for us, she never made it past the third round and has since evolved into the perfect electro-pop star. With an appearance on Jools Holland and A-list plays on a number of radio stations, expect her to go massive when her album is released in the summer. (Scott Colothan)
