Kid Cudi – With a little help from his new best friend – Kanye West – Kid Cudi has emerged as one of 2009's real stars. As well as appearing on West's latest album, the Cleveland rapper also released one of last year's genuine club anthems, 'Day and Nite'. Like his mentor, Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, is a breath of fresh air to the genre of hip-hop – and, if his his debut LP, 'Man on the Moon: The Guardians', contains anything as devastating as his debut single when it drops this Spring, then West could face some stiff competition.
