Mick Hucknall: Seemingly from nowhere the former Simply Red singer took to slamming some high profile figures in the music industry. First it was Simon Cowell who he called “slimy” (which may well be true, but coming from Mick Hucknall?!), while he blamed Oasis for “making a cliché” out of northerners. Both Cowell and Noel Gallagher duly gave Hucknall a good verbal kicking back.
