Portishead's Geoff Barrow has said the group are ready to “plough” into the production of their next studio album.
Barrow told BBC 6Muisc that he expected work on their forth record, the follow-up to 2008's 'Third', in early 2009.
He also revealed that they were keen to return to the road as soon as possible.
“When everyone's had a bit of a break, I think we're just going to plough onto it,” he said.
"And I think everybody at some point wants to get back out on the road, because we didn't really do an awful lot of live stuff."
'Third' was one of Gigwise's albums of 2008. CLICK HERE to see the full top-50 now.
