47. These New Puritans - 'Beat Pyramid' - The moment 'Beat Pyramid' makes sense to you, there's the awful feeling that you might be going insane. How on Earth could tales of Michael Barrymore masturbating and infinity not being as fast as the lead figure of Jack Barnett, make the slightest bit of sense? As Barnett's cold, mysterious figure continues to repeat nonsensical yet confidently implied phrases, it becomes difficult to get comfortable with such a jaunty, under-produced album.
