Nicky Wire – The Manic Street Preachers bassist's penchant for make-up and women's clothes stretches back to his teens when he would go to local pubs in his native Welsh town Blackwood wearing a dress. Despite rarely appearing onstage without women's garments on, Wire is keen to point out that he's not a transvestite.
