Leona Lewis' cover of a Snow Patrol song will miss out on a chart position this weekend because of an error by her record label, according to reports.
Sony BMG had apparently been scheduled to release 'Run' as a download single on Monday after the singer performed the track on last weekend's X Factor.
The Sun newspaper claims Lewis had even been flown to South Africa to record a video for the song.
“It’s an absolute crap-up. It was due out as a download and would have walked to No1,” a source told the newspaper.
But a spokesperson for Lewis said 'Run' was only ever meant to appear on an updated version of the singer's chart-topping debut album 'Spirit', which is re-released on December 1st.
