Pete Shop Boys star Neil Tennant has recorded vocals for The Killers Christmas song, 'Joesph Better Me Than You'.
The band's frontman Brandon Flowers said Tennant joined the song, which also features Sir Elton John, after the band hit a creative wall in the studio.
"We'd hit a block, and Neil came upstairs. Within moments, he came up with a great line about 'Going to the carpenter's shop',” Flowers told Planet Sound.
The song will be the third year in a row that the band have released a Christmas single. Their previous two - 'A Great Big Sled' and 'Don't Shoot Me Santa' - were download only charity songs.
As previosuly reported on Gigwise, The Killers previewed songs from their new album 'Day and Age' during an intimate show at London's Royal Albert Hall last week.
'Day and Age' is released in the UK on November 24th.
