Katy Perry Announces 2009 UK Tour Dates

Katy Perry will play two dates in the UK next Spring, it's been announced.

The 23-year-old American singer will appear at Manchester's Academy 2 on February 25th and London's Koko the following day.

The singer, who shot to fame last Summer thanks to her single 'I Kissed A Girl', courted controversy earlier this month after a picture of her posing with a knife was published in the British press.

The publication of the photo came just days after a 16-year-old army cadet was stabbed outside a Liverpool Youth Club.

On Monday, Perry published a new version of the photo in which she can be seen holding a spoon rather than a knife.
