Kaiser Chiefs will become the first band to perform at the new Academy venue in Leeds later today (October 8th).
The venue, originally the Coliseum, has been undergone a £3million redevelopment.
Kaiser Chiefs, who all hail from Leeds, will be supported by Hair and Red Light Company at the gig, which opens their UK tour.
The concert will be the first time the band have performed in the city since their homecoming show at Elland Road earlier this year.
