Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel will play a fundraiser for Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama in New York next month.
Mr Obama is expected to attend the concert on October 16th as he steps up his campaign for the White House.
Springsteen has long admired the Illinois Senator, saying he has “the depth, the reflectiveness and the resilience” to be President.
“He speaks to the America I’ve envisioned in my music for the past 35 years,” the singer told fans on his website in April.
Tickets for the concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom cost between $500 and $10,000.
