Kings of Leon have revealed how they felt like members of their family became paparazzos after their headlining appearance at Glastonbury this summer.
The Nashville band have enjoyed huge commercial success since they topped the bill at the festival in June alongside Jay-Z and The Verve.
Speaking to the Daily Star, frontman Caleb Followill said the group had now reached the stage where “a lot more third and fourth cousins, that we’ve never met before, show up.”
He said: “This was the first year where we actually saw pictures of ourselves on the internet that people were taking.
“It felt like we got paparazzied by our own family. It felt like an invasion of privacy, but you know, we put a stop to that.”
His brother, Nathan, added: “My dad was like, hiding in a tree with camera, it was terrible.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Kings of Leon look set to go number one this weekend in the UK after their new album, 'Only By The Night', sold 80,000 copies on its opening day.
