Organisers of the Virgin Festival in Canada have described an incident between Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher and a fan as a “security breach”.
Gallagher was pushed to the floor when a fan burst on stage during the group's performance at the festival last night (September 7th).
Security guards tackled the individual, who was later charged with assault.
A spokesperson for the festival told the Telegraph: “Oasis understand sometimes these things happen.”
In a video of the incident - which can be seen below - Gallagher's brother, Liam, can be seen trying to retaliate after security intervene.
Oasis were forced off stage because of the incident but returned later to continue their set, which ended with a cover of The Beatles' 'I Am The Walrus'.
It's not the first time Gallagher has been attacked on stage. In 1994, the guitarist was punched by a fan at a gig in Newcastle.

Jesus Christ he really nailed poor Noel! :O
- what an arse. i wish the band had been allowed to walk his face a bit.

- I don’t think you could call that person a fan! A fan is someone who likes an artist, not someone who runs to push him and injuries the poor sod!

- OJ would have got away with it.

- He is a mank and a pro! he will play on. I blame the stage security not Steve Allen.
