The 2008 edition of the Moonfest festival has been cancelled after police banned Babyshambles from performing at the festival.
The band, which is fronted by Pete Doherty, had been due to headline the event in Wiltshire but a court ruled that they could incite violence.
Authorities used YouTube footage of a stage invasion which took place during one of Doherty's recent solo shows to argue their case.
Speaking this morning, the festival's organiser John Green said the festival could no longer take place "due to the ramifications presented to us by the actions of the police."
Organisers say they hope to contact everyone directly who purchased tickets for the festival.
Doherty is understood to be planning a free performance in conjunction with the festival's organisers to make up for the cancellation.
