Lenny Kravitiz is to be unveiled as the new frontman of Velvet Revolver, according to reports.
Kravitz has apparently been spotted in the studio with the band, who have been without a singer since Scott Weiland left the group in April.
Weiland, who has since gone on to re-join his original band, Stone Temple Pilots, left the group following a fall out with guitarist Slash.
Speaking to the Sun newspaper, a source said that Velvet Revolver were writing material that was influenced heavily by Weiland's departure from the band.
“The band wanted a big name who could easily hold his own and reckon Lenny is just the man for the job,” they added.
Last week, Velvet Revolver denied that Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon will be unveiled as their new singer, despite his recent performance with the group.
