Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim.
Tamim's body was discovered in her flat in Dubai last month with multiple stab wounds and a mutilated face.
The 39-year-old suspect was arrested in another Arab country with the help of investigators from Interpol last Friday.
Police said he had pretended to be an estate agent to gain entry to Tamim's flat and had left Dubai 90 minutes after the murder.
Tamim shot to fame after winning a talent show in her home country in 1996 and was widely praised for having the ability to sing both pop and traditional Arabic songs.
But her life became shrouded in mystery, with much debate centred on her relationship with her estranged second husband, Adel Maatouk.
It's understood that she left Cairo in 2007 to move to the exclusive Jumeira district in Dubai.
