Kaiser Chiefs will release their new album, entitled 'Off With Their Heads', on October 13th.
The band's third LP, which has been produced by Mark Ronson and Eliot James, features guest appearances from Lily Allen, New Young Pony Club and Sway.
Grammy Award-winning English film composer David Arnold, most famous for his work on the James Bond films, will also appear on the record.
Speaking about the album, drummer Nick Hodgson said the band were keen to make it work on dancefloors following the darker sound of its predecessor, 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob'.
“I just imagine them in the Leeds Cockpit [where the band started legendary indie club Pigs]. I think we lost that a bit on the last album, but I can imagine these songs being played there,” he told NME.
He also praised the work of Ronson, who has previously worked with Amy Winehouse.
“Mark’s main thing is songs,” he said. “He’s old-fashioned, Phil Spector-style. Sometimes he’d make us all wear sunglasses in the studio! I know it sounds stupid, but we did ‘Good Days Bad Days’ and wearing sunglasses on it gave it a really different vibe.
“That’s as much production as clicking the space bar on Pro Tools.”
'Off With Their Heads' will be preceded on October 6th by the release of the single 'Never Miss A Beat', which stars both Allen and members of New Young Pony Club.
