Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was refused entry to the band's pre-tour party in Los Angeles on Saturday (July 12th).
Martin's name was omitted from the guestlist for the event, which took place in a property in Beverly Hills.
According to EOnline, the doorman failed to recognise the singer and it was left to his friends to explain who he was.
"Everyone's like, `This is the lead singer of Coldplay.' The security man wasn't rude, but he just asked him if he was on the list,” a source said.
Coldplay began their US tour at Los Angeles Forum on Monday night (July 14th).
The tour, which is in support of the bands latest album 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends', will call in the UK this December.
