The Zutons bassist Russell Pritchard has accused American music producers as being “up themselves”.
Speaking to BBC 6Music, Pritchard was asked what he felt the difference was between producers in the UK and the US following the bands recent experience of working with American George Drakoulias.
"From personal experience, we have done two over here and one over there,” he said.
“I think that they are good over there, but there is a certain element of being up themselves a little bit which can get in the way of themselves a little bit, of their own talent.
"They sort of know they are the best and that gets in the way, it's a bit of a barrier."
Drakoulias is the producer behind the band's latest album, 'You Can Do Anything', which charted at number six in the UK.
Last night (July 16th) The Zutons headlined Somerset House as part of a series of summer concerts at the venue.
