Noel Gallagher has revealed that he wanted to name the new Oasis album 'Bag It Up' – until he found out that Geri Halliwell has a song of the same name.
Speaking to Mojo, Gallagher revealed that it was his partner, Sara McDonald, who pointed out the similarity with a song by the former Spice Girl.
“The missus goes, ‘Bag It Up? Isn’t that a song by Geri Halliwell?’ I was like, ‘You’ve ruined my entire ****ing year’.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Oasis have named their new album 'Dig Out Your Soul'.
The band's latest studio is due out on October 6th and is preceded by the single ‘The Shock Of The Lightning’ on September 29th.
