Shania Twain: Eilleen Regina Edwards – After a mildly successful stint in music in her teens, Edwards put her career on hold in 1987 aged 22 after her adoptive father died in a car crash. Four years later she returned and changed her name to Shania Twain. The Shania part came from the native American word which means 'On My Way.'
