Marc Bolan: Mark Feld – It took Mark Feld quite a while to settle into a stage name. Originally he began performing under the moniker Toby Tyler. In 1967, aged 20, he changed his name to Marc Bowland while he was in the band John's Children. By the time he was in Tyrannosaurus Rex, the surname was honed down further.
