The man who was allegedly elbowed by Amy Winehouse during her performance at last weekend's Glastonbury Festival has handed a video of the incident to the BBC.
James Gostelow said he believed he had been the victim of mistaken identity and that Winehouse lashed out after someone threw a hat at her.
The incident occurred towards the end of the singer's set on Saturday (June 28th), which was watched by more than 75,000 people.
Amy Winehouse lashes out.
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Gostelow said: "I saw a hat being thrown from behind me and it hit Amy's beehive. She looked down, saw me looking up, and her elbow went for me.
"She caught my forehead, then someone may have shouted something from the back, which is when she went in again."
Mr Gostelow said he had no intention of going to the police over the incident, joking that it was “all part of the Glastonbury experience."
He also praised the Winehouse's performance, which was the first time in over half a year that she had performed a full set in the United Kingdom.
