Amy Winehouse’s mother, Janis, has predicted that her daughter will win her battle against drugs.
In a candid newspaper interview, Mrs Winehouse, who blames her daughter’s husband for bringing hard drugs into the singer’s life, said she was “devastated” by pictures of her daughter apparently smoking crack cocaine.
However, Mrs Winehouse said that she didn’t think her daughter, who was questioned by police about the footage, had “totally lost control.”
“She's a girl who lives on the edge; she toys with it," Mrs Winehouse said.
"But she has an awareness of it, too - and that will save her in the end. Maybe it's just because I'm her mother, but I think Amy will have a resurrection, and everyone will say:
"I thought she was going to kill herself - but here she is."
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Mrs Winehouse said that Fiedler-Civil had “more than played his part in Amy's downfall.”
“People I trust have told me that Amy didn't start on the hard drugs until she met Blake - and I think that says it all,” she said.
Mrs Winehouse said claims from the mother of Fielder-Civil that her son hadn’t introduced hard drugs into Winehouse’s life were “absolute rubbish."
