Pete Doherty To Defend Football Crown With Babyshambles Team

Team Babyshambles, captained by frontman Pete Doherty, will defend their title at this weekend’s Soccer Six tournament, organiser have confirmed.

The team won the tournament, which takes place at Millwall Football Club, last year after overcoming challenges from stars including Johnny Borrell.

Other musicians on show this weekend (May 18th) include Faithless, The Wombats, the Delays and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.

As previously reported, Babyshambles will play their first gig since Doherty was released from prison tomorrow (May 13th) at the Forum in London.

Doherty is also scheduled to play two solo shows later this month – in Glasgow and Manchester – which were postponed following is incarceration.
