Rough Trade Records – After failing to get anywhere with another demo, ‘Legs 11’ – which featured the fantastic ‘Sister Sister’ – and new manager Banny Poostchi, the band’s eventual break came thanks to an American band called The Strokes. Quickly encouraged to record the Nomis Demos – which saw their songs take on a Strokes feel – the band clinched a record contract with Rough Trade Records in December 2001.
