Karlheinz Stockhausen –
Buoyed by his time at Pierre Schaeffer’s Musique Concrète studio in Paris, the German composer turned to electronic music with a series of studies in 1953 and went on to become one of the most influential figures in the field of the twentieth century. His aim was to create music that was otherworldly and would take listeners on a journey.

Well I never knew Theremin was named after someone, I always thought it was some foreign technical word. But then I always thought Moogs were called that cos they go ’moooooooooog’.
