Louis and Bebe Baron – The duo were the first act to make a recording using the medium of magnetic tape – a revolutionary recording medium for the time. Before the invention of synthesisers and samplers, electronic circuits had to be manipulated to create sounds and then physically be glued back together. Their soundtrack for the 1956 movie ‘Forbidden Planet’ was revolutionary as it was the very first score to solely use electronic music.

Well I never knew Theremin was named after someone, I always thought it was some foreign technical word. But then I always thought Moogs were called that cos they go ’moooooooooog’.
