Jamie T Announces Plans To Form Covers Band They're going to do some live show...

Jamie T has announced plans to form a covers band with some of his friends.
The singer said he wants to take a break from writing to focus on the as-yet-untitled side-project.
"I seem to spend a lot of time talking about starting a covers band at the moment, which I’m thinking of doing with a couple of friends,” he told BBC 6 Music.
"We’ve done a lot of music over the past year, we’ve written a lot and I think we are coming to the end of a phase of that I suppose.

Reef To Reunite In 2010 For UK Tour The band behind 'It's Your Letters'...

It's the news you've all been waiting for, the unstoppable musical force Reef are reforming in 2010.
The band behind the anthem 'It's Your Letters' split in 2003 after 10 years together, a career which saw them release four studio albums including the chart-topping 'Glow'.
Gary, Kenwyn, Jack and Dominic have booked in a full UK tour for 2010 and are currently busy rehearsing.
The dates will be unveiled tomorrow with tickets going on sale via the Gigwise Gig Tickets section from 9am next Tuesday (December 1).

Blur Railway Venue To Receive Commemorative Plaque As part of new PRS initiative...

The East Anglian Railway Museum, which staged Blur's first gig, is to receive a commemorative blue plaque.
It is part of the Performing Rights Society's (PRS) new initiative to honour a host of venues which staged influential bands debut gigs.
The block of flats where Dire Straits played live for the first time is also due to be recognised.
Blur kick started their career at The East Anglian Railway Museum and returned to the Essex venue in June as part of their reunion tour.

Beyonce To Release New Album In 2010 Singer tells fans in the UK...

Beyonce has said she plans to release a new album next year.
The singer, whose last album 'I Am...Sasha Fierce' came out in 2008, made the announcement during a concert in Nottingham.
She told fans: "This is my last show for this tour in the UK, so hopefully, I'll see you all in a year with a new album.”
According to Billboard, producer Darkchild's has previously told his Twitter followers that he was working on songs with the singer.

50 Cent Beefs With Jay-Z Over Poor Album Sales He hits back at fellow hip-hop star...

50 Cent has hit back at Jay-Z after the rapper appeared to poke fun at poor sales of his new album, 'Before I Self Destruct'.
Jay-Z made the comment - “Men lie, women lie - numbers don't” - during an acceptance speech at the American Music Awards on Sunday.
His remark appeared to be in reference to reports that 50 Cent's new album was on course to sell just 150,000 copies in its first week.
The rapper's three previous efforts have all sold over 500,000 copies in their opening seven days.

Beach Boys and Janis Joplin Songs For Grammy Hall Of Fame It's announced today...

California Girls by The Beach Boys and The Doors' 'Riders of the Storm' are two of the 25 songs set to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame this year.
Other artists whose songs are being honoured include Bob Marley, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Muddy Waters and Janis Joplin.
All songs have to be at least 25-years-old to be inducted, with the most recent track being Weather Report's 'Birdland' from 1977.
President of The Recording Academy, Neil Portnow, said: "The selections are timeless staples that span six decades and represent a wide range of genres from comedy to rock, reggae, jazz and R&B."

The Futureheads Announce Tiny London Christmas Gig, New Song Giveaway Ahead of next album release...

The Futureheads have announced details of an intimate gig in London next month.
The band are expected to preview tracks from their forthcoming new album at The Lexington on December 14.
Meanwhile, the group are also giving away new song 'Struck Dumb' for free via their MySpace page.
The track, taken from their as-yet-untitled new album, will be available to download until December 2.

Rihanna has called internet rumours that she gave Jay-Z oral sex “disgusting”.
Various unscrupulous sources and chat forums published fabrications that Rihanna had sexual relations with Jay-Z when the label boss first signed her up – something she strenuously denies.
Rihanna tells MTV: “It was like, 'Of course she had to give Jay-Z oral sex to get that deal'. That rumour was everywhere in Barbados and it was so disgusting.”
She continued: “It made me feel really weird. I would even be weird around Jay-Z. I wouldn't be able to look him in the eye.”

Paul Weller has announced details of two very special London show next year.
The Modfather will play the Royal Albert Hall on Monday May 24 and Tuesday May 25, 2010.
The shows are in support of the 51-year-old's tenth studio album 'Wake Up The Nation' which is set for release in spring 2010 via Island Records.
Tickets cost £35 to £50 and are available via the Gigwise Gig Tickets section from 9am on Monday (November 30).

White Lies are hoping to delve into more experimental realms with their second album.
Bassist Charles Cave says they've set aside a two month window in their schedule to begin work on the long-player and they're feeling the pressure.
However, they're not thinking about even writing until their European tour ends in February.
Cave told BBC6music: "There's almost so much pressure that you just have to forget about the whole thing and just have loads of fun.
