
Gorillaz are set to perform as holograms at the forthcoming MTV Europe Music Awards.
In a groundbreaking move the cartoon supergroup will be projected on stage where they will perform alongside real-life collaborators De La Soul.
The Damon Albarn fronted group are up for five awards at this year’s bash including Best Video for ‘Feel Good Inc.’ and Best Group.
Other acts set to perform at the extravaganza include Akon, Coldplay, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Madonna, Robbie Williams and The Black Eyed Peas.
Sacha Baron Cohen’s hilarious creation Borat Sagdiyev will host the awards.
The event takes place in Lisbon, Portugal on November 3.
