Arctic Monkeys have confirmed that their next single will be ‘Sun Goes Down’.
The track will be the follow up to current single ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’ which is number 1 in the midweek charts.
Asked whether the single would be a new track not featured in their live sets, frontman Alex Turner told Gigwise: “It’s not going to be a new song. It’s ‘Sun Goes Down (Scummy)’.
“And then we haven’t really planned the next one after that, but that’s like promoting the album kinda thing.”
The lads also confirmed that recording the album went “smoothly” and that they are due to spend next week mixing the album in London.
Speaking about the album, guitarist James Cook told us: “We want it to catch like, the live aspect of us. But we don’t want it to be messy, but we want it to be powerful, like ‘Definitely Maybe’, that kinda sound.”
We can’t wait already.
