Kate Bush has spoken out about how honoured she feels, at the expectation and excitement surrounding her first studio release in twelve years.
She commented: “I feel really privileged that people have been waiting. I have been genuinely touched.”
She also spoke of her collaboration with Rolf, saying: “There was a sense of being at play as well as at work. I really like working with people who are old friends, it’s lovely.”
Talking about her new double album, ‘Ariel’, Bush told Hot: “The two discs allow me to play with the semi-classical style which I like – space and acoustic music – but also the band-based with lots of drums.”
‘Ariel’ is scheduled for release through EMI on November 7 and will be preceded by the single, ‘King Of The Mountain’ on October 24.
