The Datsuns

  Kiwi rockers The Datsuns themselves have characterised their clever pastiche of Deep Purple and AC/DC influenced riffola as "big dumb rock". Before their big break being herald by the British press as the saviours of the New Rock Revolution they had been encouraged by people back home to quit as there seemingly wasn't a market for their brand of garage rock.

Record companies were quick to pick up on the media buzz the band were creating in the UK and waving cheque books in their faces the band soon signed to Sweet Nothing and V2 in the States. Their self titled album was released in October 2002. After releasing the the less successful album Outta Sight/Outta Mind in 2004 the Datsuns are back with new Ep Stuck Here for Days.
