Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee was injured onstage last night (October 12) after a pyrotechnics show went wrong.
The incident happened during the penultimate song of the band’s set at the gig in Casper, Wyoming.
Ever-the-professional, Lee managed to carry on until the end of the show despite the injury, reports The Associated Press. Lee was then taken to hospital straight after the gig where he was treated for apparent burns.
Witnesses of the gig claim that a Roman Candle style display hurtled towards Lee, who was suspended on a wire above the stage.
Police spokesman Sgt Doug Beran confirmed that Lee’s injuries are not serious, but refused to give any further details for privacy reasons.
It’s not yet clear whether the injury will affect any of Motley Crue’s remaining American Tour dates.
