Littl’ans, the band supporting Babyshambles on their current UK tour, have spoken out about the police raids which took place over the weekend.
The band we’re caught up in the police investigations into Pete Doherty’s drugs use and have been shocked by the police tactics.
A statement released today the bands label today says: "At 1:30am after leaving their gig in Shrewsbury Littl'ans bus was raided in an SAS style bust by West Mercia police. The bus was stopped in the middle of the road just outside the town centre by 10 police officers in combat clothing and truncheons drawn.”
“Eight police cars surrounded the bus as the officers boarded and cuffed all members. The band were taken to Shrewsbury police station where they were strip searched. Also at the station were members of Babyshambles. Three hours later and after blushes from police officers the band were allowed on their way without charge.”
