Legal action is being taken against 757 people in the US accused of using file-sharing networks to illegally share music online.
This latest incident takes the total number of online copyright infringement cases brought by the US music industry to a whopping 14,800.
The Recording Industry Association of America trade group stated that around 64 of those charged had been caught using college networks.
Over here, the British Phonographic Industry has taken action against a mere 90 UK file-sharers to date, with more than 60 of them settling out of court, paying fines as high as £6,500 each in compensation.
Makes paying £10 for a CD seem cheap, doesn't it?
