Damon Albarn has been speaking about Blur’s new album, saying that he’s had to focus more on his guitar work with Graham Coxon still out of the picture.
Coxon is focusing on his solo work, while Blur are busy working on the follow up to ‘Think Tank’ as a threesome.
Albarn said: "There is a Blur record at the moment but it's very basic.
"The reason why it's so basic is we decided that if we're going to make another record it's just got to be the three of us and I've got to play guitar. And because I'm such a rudimentary guitarist it has to be really stupid and basic punk rock."
As the Beeb reports, Albarn went on to talk about a ‘solo’ album he is working on. He said: “I'm halfway through a record that I started in Nigeria last year.
"I suppose it will end up being my first solo record, although I hate the term 'solo record'."
