US rapper Beanie Sigel has been acquitted of attempted murder.
Sigel, real name Dwight Grant was found not guilty of shooting Terrance Spencer.
This is Sigel’s second trial, the first, held last year ended with a deadlocked jury, reports the BBC.
Despite having had three albums in the US top five, this is not the only time Sigel has been in trouble with the law.
He was only released from prison last month after serving 10 months for illegal gun possession.
He faces another trial in the near future for breaking a man's eye socket during a ‘row’ in January 2003.
Damon Dash, of Damon Dash music (original) who released Sigel’s latest album said of the outcome to AllHipHop:
“It’s a beautiful thing, he’s an honourable dude,”
“We wanted to keep it more low profile this time. We had to keep it low and focus on the trial."
"All the evidence was put out there and he was found not guilty, which is what he should have been (found) in the first place.”
