David LaChappelle Slates The Simpson Sisters

Quirky, surrealist and downright smashing photographer David LaChapelle has laid into annoying sibling hags, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. What a guy.

Speaking of the dire duo, David said: “They’re everything that’s wrong with music. They’re everything that’s wrong with culture, and everything wrong with art – in one family!”

Before adding: “They’re nothing. They have nothing. They hold no interest whatsoever for anybody” to New magazine.

As if that weren’t scathing enough he spat: “They’re lip-synching television stars. I don’t know what they are beyond that. I don’t think they offer anything.”

Apparently Jessica and Ashlee got David’s goat up by refusing to pose for him for the cover of Rolling Stone mag. A source for the pair said: “The girls were looking for a photographer who wasn’t a one-trick pony. David’s good at what he does but that’s it.”

LaChapelle fired back with: “I was only doing it because of my relationship with Rolling Stone. We were going to try and make the Simpsons look cool. I realise now that that is an impossible task.”

Jessica does look darn good in a pair of hot-pants though, it has to be said.
